This solid pine monks bench was looking dated when it arrived at the workshop. Our customer was keen to keep the furniture but was looking for it to be refreshed in a more contemporary colour, along with other pieces including a mirror, coat hooks and small cupboard. After viewing both Laura Ashley and Farrow & Ball colour charts, she settled on a French Grey in a satin finish.
David stripped and sanded the monks bench back to bare wood to make sure that any primer applied would fix. In the spray booth, he applied two coats of primer and a further three coats of pigmented lacquer to completely change the look and feel of the furniture.
Our customer was delighted with the new look!
